The Johnny Cash Children's Album is the 49th album by country singer Johnny Cash, released on Columbia Records in 1975 featuring recordings made between January 1972 and October 1973. As the title implies, it contains songs written for children. Among others, this includes "Tiger Whitehead", a song later released in an acoustic version on Cash's posthumous Personal File album in 2006. Most of the songs on the album had not been performed by Cash before.

Johnny Cash left Sun Records in 1958 to sign with Columbia, and three years later he was a bigger star than ever and well on his way to becoming one of the living legends of country music  . Much of the rest of the album feels more like filler than anything else, but every song features the voice of Johnny Cash, always an impressive thing to witness, and while there are many better collections of his recordings for Sun, on its own terms it's not a bad way to pass 25 minutes.

Albums Alphabetic list. Ride This Train (1960). Now, There Was a Song! (1960). I Feel Better All Over. I Couldn’t Keep From Crying. Time Changes Everything. My Shoes Keep Walking Back to You.

With his gift for storytelling in song, it's no surprise that Cash crafted an enjoyable album for kids, both small and big, with this 1975 release, now featuring 4 bonus tracks. Includes Nasty Dan, Little Magic Glasses, I Got a Boy (and His Name is John); Tiger Whitehead; Old Shep; My Grandfather's Clock, and 8 more. The lighter side of the Man in Black.

Johnny Cash - "Understand Your Man". Ironically, the song was the last that Cash would ever perform in public on July 5, 2003 – just a few weeks after the passing of his beloved June. The lyrics were perhaps Cash at his most cocky or belligerent – depending upon your definition. It was the story of a man telling his significant other how things were going to be, or he was going to be hitting the highway. The lyrics of this 1971 top ten hit also reveal much of the social activism that was so much a part of Cash’s career. 5. Johnny Cash - Jackson.

The most famous song title of a Johnny Cash track has to be I Walk the Line based on the fact that it was the name of his biopic as well. It was a 1956 single from the album With His Hot and Blue Guitar and was one of his most popular tracks, remaining on the charts for over 43 weeks and selling over two million copies. Wrote by his wife June Carter Cash and sang by Johnny Cash, Ring of Fire was a single from his 1963 album Ring of Fire: The Best of Johnny Cash
