Regardless, there's nothing but class here, and in fact, this album features one of my all-time faves from Pablo--the storming, haunting Ultimate Frontier, a track with a delicious "rhythm" acid snarl, a recurrent cricket-type synth, overall gritty atmosphere, and a couple cheeky samples from the original English dub of Akira, as well as a wicked, dissonant "melody" in the. second half of the tune.

Perhaps a millimeter shy of its predecessor (the rightly legendary Senza Volto), this is still a brilliant album. Indeed, if this album came from any other artist in the late '90s hard trance scene, I think it would have a much bigger reputation. But it just got overshadowed by some of Pablo's previous work, so people seem not to recall it as much.Regardless, there's nothing but class here, and in fact, this album features one of my all-time faves from Pablo---the storming, haunting Ultimate Frontier, a track with a delicious "rhythm" acid snarl, a recurrent cricket-type synth, overall gritty atmosphere, and a couple cheeky samples from the original English dub of Akira, as well as a wicked, dissonant "melody" in the second half of the tune. Again, this is a contender for my favorite Gargano track ever, and that's saying something.Then you've got Space Travel, a lovely and perfectly named sonic journey into the cosmos. As with many of Pablo's tunes, this one sort of blends different trance styles into one, as there are traces of psychedelic trance, progressive trance, and ambient trance, and yet the track overall is still vintage Pablo/Eve hard trance. So strap your spacesuit on and blast off into the cosmos with this one.The other tunes are similarly tasty and multifaceted, as Call Waiting and State of Progression have some nice acid and psychedelic synths in conjunction with melodic layers and hard-trance percussion schemes, the Bravo remix of Trance in Saigon is like a tripped-out, psychedelic re-layering of the original (the acid content is toned down, but still present), and the More Kicks remix of Escape is downright banging ("I'm ready to kick your ass out of the world...").Still, for my tastes, nothing tops Ultimate Frontier. Timeless quality.
