This collection is partly related to the similarly titled 11-song LP compilation of Hopkin's work that appeared during 1972. That release was premature, a result of Apple Records' thrashing about trying to generate revenue, but time has made the need for such a collection a little more clear

Mary Hopkin was the most successful of the Beatles' Apple Records artists. THOSE WERE THE DAYS and the Paul McCartney penned GOODBYE are both included in this package as well as the British hit TEMMA HARBOUR. As she was McCartney's discovery (with a referral by British model Twiggy), McCartney helped choose material, create arrangements, and play on some cuts. Hopkin has a delicate voice which works beautifully with these selections (check out the cover version of the Doris Day hit QUE SERA, SERA). This compilation CD album is a must for Mary Hopkin fans, and, or Eurovision song Contest fans, as this is the only CD format I've discovered containing Mary's 'Knock Knock Who's There?. I only wish 'I'm Gonna Fall In Love Again' had been included in this CD format. A lovely album, a lovely voice, a lovely lady.
