Sheer Heart Attack is the third studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 8 November 1974 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and by Elektra Records in the United States. Digressing from the progressive themes featured on their first two albums, this album featured more pop-centric and conventional rock tracks and marked a step towards the "classic" Queen sound. It was produced by the band and Roy Thomas Baker and launched Queen to mainstream popularity in the UK and throughout the world.
Queen is the self-titled debut studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 13 July 1973 by EMI Records in the UK and by Elektra Records in the US. It was recorded at Trident Studios and De Lane Lea Music Centre, London, with production by Roy Thomas Baker, John Anthony and the band members themselves. The album was influenced by heavy metal and progressive rock. The lyrics are based on a variety of topics, including folklore ("My Fairy King") and religion ("Jesus").
The 1974 third studio album Sheer Heart Attack catapulted Queen into international rock stardom. Its lead hit single, Freddie Mercury’s rock-pop Killer Queen was the sheer chart attack catalyst of the album’s popularity, creating Queen-mania in the . much of Europe, including some of Eastern Europe, and particularly in Japa. ueen’s first presence in Japan, during their first tour there (or leg thereof, in support of Sheer Heart Attack ) drew a Japanese-flavored frenzy of Beatle-maniacal proportions. But Queen were obviously on the right track, live, and on record: the UK tour immediately sold-out, as the band managed to geometrically increase their fan-base.

This is evident not just in "Killer Queen" - the first, best flourishing of Freddie Mercury's vaudevillian camp - but also on the pummeling "Stone Cold Crazy," a frenzied piece of jagged metal that's all the more exciting because it has a real melodic hook. Those hooks are threaded throughout the record, on both the ballads and the other rockers, but it isn't just that this is poppier, it's that they're able to execute their drama with flair and style. There are still references to mystical worlds ("Lily of the Valley," "In the Lap.
Queen’s Sheer Heart Attack heralded their arrival as a major musical force. Killer Queen, the album’s outstanding single was an instant classic rock anthem. Sheer Heart Attack proved that Queen was far from just any old rock band. This album took the band to a whole new level, helping to propel them from a support band on a US tour to a world headliner. Queen released 'Live Killers' in June 1979. This delay only increased fan interest in Live Killers, a comprehensive traipse across Queen’s career to date. The album was bookended by "We Will Rock You," first in the form of a charged-up opening update and then one taken at a pace more in keeping with original album version. The closing version, as on 1977's News of the World, is smartly paired with "We Are the Champions. A mandatory exclamation of "God Save the Queen" then brought the proceedings to a climax, nearly two hours later.
