In every new album all the oldschool ravers hope for something better. Perhaps it's in the human nature always to hope and to expect something better than the previous one. But sadly our age has long gone with no return in the horizon.

Talk about Scooter - Ace

Why oh why..........???? In every new album all the oldschool ravers hope for something better. Perhaps it's in the human nature always to hope and to expect something better than the previous one. But sadly our age has long gone with no return in the horizon. The new trend is this soft tech trance - house with no depth or rhythm, without colour and flactuation in music. It's like all of these songs are made with the same way. Still there are some good productions and bands but the majority sadly is quite commercial and bad in the taste. At least in this album they could include more songs like Riot or The birdwatcher. Something positive in the two last albums is that they reduce the covers and they had their own productions. I only liked Oi, Riot and The birdwatcher and Opium. The rest were nothing special. Same beat pattern, same sounds, without fantasy. Even Wolga which was supposed to be the usual trance part of the album wasn't that much trance. It's music written just to listen to in the beach but not for dancing and bouncing. It's a pitty, but this is my personal point of view. Feel free to listen and write your comments. Besides music was always a personal matter. I'm openminded and i give chances to something new and different but this does not mean that i welcome it all the times.

Aye, you are jolly right there, Nasos. Scooter have definitely lost their golden touch starting with The Fifth Chapter. Like their last, this album is nothing special, with the exceptions of "Riot" and "The Birdwatcher". Scooter had reached their highest plateau with albums such as Jumping All Over The World and Under The Radar Over The Top and what appears to be their last ever good singles "C'est Bleu", "Army Of Hardcore" and "Riot". After all that, Scooter, like other once good big-name dance artists, have began to model their music after stupid electro-house and bigroom house DJs like Hardwell, Steve Aoki and Calvin Harris, which is very, very sad and disappointing. As I said, obviously somehow, Scooter have created their remaining good songs "C'est Bleu", "Army Of Hardcore" and "Riot", but it's only gone downhill form there as Scooter have lost their touch since Rick J. Jordan left the band in 2014. Sadly, it looks like the dance music industry seized artistic creativity and really good music by the throat and threw it down the drain, starting (I guess) in early 2010. Now mainstream dance music has become more mediocre and less creative, focussing on this stupid electro-house and boring bigroom house with no depth or rhythm and without colour and flactuation, keeping on repeating itself without adding any new ideas.I really honestly hope dance music doesn't continue to go downhill because seriously, such talent by artists such as Scooter, Klubbingman and even Groove Coverage has gone to waste, which is an utter shame. You are darn' tootin', Nasos; you are jolly well right. I like your thinking! As a creative and artistic generation, we need to get good, creative music back into the forefront and take electronic music back to the level of quality and art that it once was, rather than the level of mediocrity that it has become.

dj80 You are so right, mate! They seems tracks from Aoki,Hardwell or Garrix with Baxxter voice. By now hardstyle and trance/hard trance sounds are no longer fashionable and Scooter adapt totally to EDM. I would not be surprised if in the future I will see them live at Tomorrowland! I agree with you guys. This new EDM is too vapid, cliche and boring. No creativity in it at all. But no sweat, I'm still creating oldschool trance/hard trance at the moment. Feel free to check out my new synthpop track 'Sit Back & Enjoy the Ride' at https://soundcloud.com/dj-bulletix/sit-back-and-enjoy-the-ride .The music on 'Sit Back' was inspired by the music on Scooter's 'Hyper Hyper', and it was written to capture the feel of driving and travelling on a motorway. Feel free to send me some feedback and reviews on 'Sit Back'. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Aye. I really know what you guys mean. Less creativity, more commercialism. Dreadful. :(

Agree. Alas here is more trance, less of Scooter. (
