This post-Yanqui addition to the Godspeed-“family” oeuvre made-up of percussionist Bruce Cawdron and cellist Beckie Foon is, at the best of times, backing track potential. The dithering periphery of heavily bowed (though, sometimes chugged) bass tones along with the occasional marimba and guest spots of piano and sackbut suggest, if nothing else, a reliance on a preexisting emotional investment contained within a cardboard sleeve.
