As A-Trak explains, 'It's the first official Serato picture disk on their Whitelabel.

Picture discs are gramophone (phonograph) records that show images on their playing surface, rather than being of plain black or colored vinyl. Collectors traditionally reserve the term picture disc for records with graphics that extend at least partly into the actual playable grooved area, distinguishing them from picture label discs, which have a specially illustrated and sometimes very large label, and picture back discs, which are illustrated on one unplayable side only.

A-Trak’s album itself represented a new challenge for the Montreal-born, New-York based DJ who’s list of achievements include DMC World Champion at 15 as well as serving as DJ to Kanye West. While not coming from a running background, the album required some serious thought relative to A-Trak’s usual musical releases which cater more to short-attention span audiences

Unfortunately, A-Trak’s Running Man fails where LCD Soundsystem triumphed. Twelve years Murphy’s junior, the young turntablist’s mix is too hyperactively jittery to achieve and sustain a steady pace. My pain is being accentuated, not alleviated, my focus hindered, not heightened. Every time a drum pattern fades, I’m fooled into thinking that the session is winding down, before the next unwelcome beat kicks in. Having said that, every ten minutes or so A-Trak relaxes into a section of cyclical no-frills instrumental house music. This is when I’m fastest and least distracted. The relatively mellow, silky 80s vibe that surfaces around the half hour mark is agreeably soothing. After enduring several false endings the album/track finally finishes and I yank out my earphones in relief.
