Album - Leo Kottke Anthology. MY Pamela Brown story: She was a telephone operator in Vineyard Haven circa 1960 and I was moving around the Island doing various mostly hotel and restaurant kitchen jobs. I dated her maybe 10 times and I got dumped for a wanna be tennis pro who drove a pick-up truck. When I first heard Leo do this song many years later I was stabbed in the heart and my throat seized up badly.
