On their first home video release, the band are showcased in several formats - live, in music video, and in rare behind-the-scenes footage from the band's early days. In addition, special bonus footage featuring the band's recording of their platinum-selling debut album, WISCONSIN DEATH TRIP, and a special backstage look at Ozzfest 2000 is included. Therefore, it was prevented from ever hitting store shelves and It is very hard to find with roughly only 500 copies in existence.

Cannibal is the first Static-X album since 1999's Wisconsin Death Trip to feature guitar playing from original guitarist Koichi Fukuda, who left the band in 2000 and rejoined in 2005.
