Travelling Without Moving is the third studio album by British funk/acid jazz band Jamiroquai, released on 28 August 1996 in Japan, 9 September 1996 in the United Kingdom, 19 November 1996 in Canada and 14 January 1997 in the United States. The version of the album containing both bonus tracks has a different CD back cover design. The US release includes this sample which is taken from the track "Last Night Changed It All" by Joe Wheeler. In the liner notes for the CD Jay writes "The biggest thank you goes out to you, the people who hail me out in the street & support Jamiroquai, all around the world but particularly in London, you're all a bunch of diamonds. I hope you dig this new stuff. Let's get down & boogie in '97.

Travelling Without Moving. Produced by Jay Kay & Al Stone. Album Travelling Without Moving. Travelling Without Moving Lyrics

Jamiroquai’s Travelling Without Moving signified a violent burst into the mainstream by way of slicker hooks and enhanced arrangements. The album, the bands third, took the funk elements of its predecessor, The Return Of The Space Cowboy, and turned them into cleaner, bouncier synth-infused dance tunes. Nowhere is the album better sampled than on Alright, a late-night disco/funk jam complete with a smooth-as-silk bass intro. Here, the two sides of the band – pop sensibilities and funk musicianship – combine to toe-tapping effect

Travelling Without Moving is the sound of a band going global. It was the brand new album for 1996, and the plan was simple: everything BIGGER! The sound was bigger, the choruses were bigger (cue 'Cosmic Girl'), and the dance-filled videos were bigger.

Travelling Without Moving - Студийный альбом от Jamiroquai. Вышел 9 сентября 1996г. В альбом вошло 42 треков. Продолжительность альбома: 03:22:04. Do You Know Where You're Coming From (original mix). Traveling Without Moving.

Travelling Without Moving' intentionally offers more of what Jamiroquai does best: highly addictive funky grooves with a social consciousness that is matched by front man Jay Kay's charisma. The third effort of Jamiroquai was carried by an inventive video for 'Virtual Insanity'; the album's flagship song. Some of the tunes on this album aren't as catchy as others, but overall, Travelling Without Moving works very well. I also like Canned Heat, a song they did for the movie Center Stage, not surprisingly a dance movie.

Talk about Jamiroquai - Travelling Without Moving

Whitesmasher
Sony should've added the full length Roger Sanchez remix of "High Times", the Bionic Supachronic mix.I'm a little confused about when Sony printed the writing credits on most tracks, example: Wallis Buchanan is credited on several songs but has only written/performed on the tracks "Didjerama" and "Didjital Vibrations".Whilst "Slipin' 'N' Slidin'" is an instrumental, for some strange reason, there are lyrics printed in the booklet. I know when the band were performing this song live on several occasions during the "Travelling Without Moving" tour, Jay is singing on the track. So, maybe it was meant to have singing in it but they decided to leave it as an instrumental. I guess all fans will never know if there were actual vocals recorded for this song.
