Claude Arrieu (born Paris, 30 November 1903 – died Paris, 7 March 1990) was a prolific French composer. Claude Arrieu was a classically trained musician from an early age. She became particularly interested in works by Bach and Mozart, and later, Igor Stravinsky. However, Gabriel Fauré, Claude Debussy, and Maurice Ravel provided her the most inspiration. Dreaming of a career as a virtuoso, she entered the Conservatoire de Paris in 1924.
