Cage composed other works using the material from Fontana Mix: Water Walk, Sounds of Venice, Aria, Theatre Piece, and WBAI. Cornelius Cardew composed his Solo for Guitar using the same material. In February 1959, Cage prepared a version for 2 tapes at the Studio di Fonologia in Milan, with technical assistance from Mario Zucchen

Williams Mix (1951–1953) is a 4'15" electronic composition by John Cage for eight simultaneously played independent quarter-inch magnetic tapes. The first octophonic music, the piece was created by Cage with the assistance of Earle Brown, Morton Feldman, and David Tudor, using a large number of tape sound sources and a paper score he created for the construction.

Fontana Mix' is a piece for magnetic tape, consisting of electronic tape manipulation and concrete sound material, created and realised by Cage. The catalog number applies to the stereo version of this recording. The number for the mono version is 58003. This exact recording was re-released in the early seventies by Mainstream. Catalog number for that is MS/5005.

The recording includes four different type of sound of the environment which are the voice of people, the sound of cars, the sound of wind and the noise. In my visual representation (Figure 2), the grey area shows the sound that been record in my recording and this is because the sounds are always exist in the environment however I could not record all of them at a same place and in the same time.
