The Blasters is the second album by American rock and roll band The Blasters. Originally released in the United States by the independent label Slash Records, its later strong sales performance required a deal for wider distribution with Warner Bros. The album was well-received, making Time magazine's list of "top 10 albums" for 1982 and peaking at number 36 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart.

The Blasters are an American rock and roll music group formed in 1979 in Downey, California, by brothers Phil Alvin (vocals and guitar) and Dave Alvin (guitar), with bass guitarist John Bazz and drummer Bill Bateman. Dave Alvin, the group's primary songwriter, left the band in 1986 for a solo career.
