It basically means that they were saying they were a cult! . It's not a real gun! It's only a decorative pistol - who know, like you find in pubs.

The end of the first Adam and the Ants tour was really strange, because it's like, "We're not playing tomorrow, what do we do now?". I was glad to leave the band and I'm sure they were glad for me to be gone! No hard feelings. He was replaced by Gary Tibbs, formerly of The Vibrators and Roxy Music, who joined in time for the band's March 1981 tour.

Adam Ant is a British post-punk, new wave artist. He was the lead singer of Adam & the Ants until their split in early 1982, by which time they had recorded three studio albums. Ant, however, would go solo, and release an additional five studio albums throughout the 1980s and early 1990s (one other album recorded during this period remains unreleased). After a gap of nearly 18 years, his sixth solo studio album was released in early 2013.

Adam and the Ants were an English rock band active during the late 1970s and early 1980s. The group, which lasted from 1977 to 1982, existed in two incarnations, both fronted by Adam Ant. The first, founded in May 1977 and known simply as The Ants until November that year, achieved considerable cult popularity during the transition from the punk rock era to the post-punk and new wave era, and were noted for their high camp and overtly sexualised stage performances and songs.
