Second pressing of the album. This pressing included a merchandise sheet "Exclusive offer! Super products from the movie" advertising T-shirts, wristbands, poster, pendant, necklaces and a Disco jacket". The Diana Ross song (D4) is called "Lovin', Livin' And Givin'" and runs for 4:39 in this "electronic" version, while the first pressing ran for 3:30 and was called "Livin', Lovin', Givin'". The runout etchings on Side 4 show the revised master was used. Side F has no grooves, it's black with no etchings. Although side E is labeled as "stereo", it actually plays in mono. Presumably, all other pressings have the same particularity. Matrix, Runout (Variant 1: Side A - Runout groove area, hand-etched): NBLP-7099-3-AS 2R S-5733.

Thank God It's Friday is a 1978 American musical disco comedy film directed by Robert Klane and produced by Motown Productions and Casablanca FilmWorks for Columbia Pictures. Produced at the height of the disco craze, the film features The Commodores performing "Too Hot ta Trot", and Donna Summer performing "Last Dance", which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1978. The film features an early performance by Jeff Goldblum and the first major screen appearance by Debra Winger.

Sure, Thank God It's Friday is widely acknowledged to be a turkey. And, sure, we're getting close to the bottom of the disco barrel. But this soundtrack isn't as atrocious as you might expect, especially if you have a high tolerance for disco's Euro strain. I wore my original record album out years ago. I'm glad that I decided to purchase the CD. It brings back memories and gives me a chance to "work out" by practicing the dance routines I used to dance.

It was written by European composer and producer Alec R. Costandinos. It peaked at on Billboard ' s Disco charts, R&B and Pop. Over the years some radio stations would play the song at 5:00 . on Fridays to mark the end of the work week and get its audience pumped-up for the weekend
