AskerLadden is an award-winning Norwegian folk band. This exciting group play traditional Norwegian folk music, as well as newer folk music in the traditional way. They have managed to create their own sound and groove, and at the same time they are good at maintaining the connection to the old tradition.

The musical adventure of Askeladden started in 2011, when the band was founded by Johannes Aadland (vocal/keys), Endre Hoff (double bass/backing vocals) and Simon Kleppe Røskeland (drums/backing vocals). By the fall of 2011, they were touring the kingdom of Norway, and soon established themselves as part of the westcoast music scene.
