Talk about Calibre - Let Me Hold You / Love's Too Tight To Mention

Vozuru
Guys create release for repress please and don't sell on this release, these are two different plates hence forbidden to sell here...
Brialelis
When an old release is repressed, there should be two releases (one for original and one for repress) as these are technically two different versions. Here, the "Let me hold you" repress now has its own version, hence the people who want to sell the repress must sell it on its dedicated version. I hope it is clearer now !

It's very difficult to take a favourite from Calibre, a producer that not only has been his very unique bag of tricks for productions for a long time, but also made his productions sound uniquely him and have a lot of soul. But maybe mine is "Let me Hold You", which consist of a drum n bass loop, some piano chords (how does he manage to make the piano sound that great?), some piano variations, and his voice singing the main melody, with a powerful bassline carrying them all. And more than the sum of all these elements: the repetitions become an insistent love letter, and the break around 4:00 is one of his most beautiful moments. With a bit more of production tricks, "Love's Too Tight To Mention" (this must be the Love ep from Dominic Martin) is one of his orchestral works, where you don't really know if the strings are real or synthesized. After a long buildup, a 2/2 loop with hints of funkyness comes to lead the vocals from Calibre and the rap from DRS. But, maybe it's because "love" is said too many times, maybe because of the rhymes with "tion", I don't find it that good. An instrumental version of this, or a different set of lyrics would have helped.
