Jim Hall was an American jazz guitarist, composer, and arranger. His discography consists of 39 studio albums, 10 live albums, 1 EP, 1 single, 10 videos, and 22 compilations, all released between 1957 and 2016. In addition, he was a sideman on numerous albums by other artists. 1957: Jazz Guitar (Pacific Jazz) reissued in 1964 with overdubbed drums as The Winner! (Fontana). Also reissued in 2014 as disc 2 of the 10-disc collection Jazz Guitar: Ultimate Collection, Vol. 1 (Documents).

Undercurrent is a 1962 album by jazz pianist Bill Evans and jazz guitarist Jim Hall. The duo collaborated again in 1966 on the album Intermodulation. The front cover image for Undercurrent is Toni Frissell's photograph "Weeki Wachee Spring, Florida". The album was originally released on United Artists, then reissued by Solid State in 1968. More recently, the album was reissued on EMI/Blue Note (in fact, both Blue Note and United Artists Records have been owned for a long time by EMI)

James Stanley Hall (December 4, 1930 – December 10, 2013) was an American jazz guitarist, composer and arranger. Premier Guitar magazine stated that "It could be argued that the jazz guitar tree is rooted in four names: Django, Charlie, Wes, and Jim ". Born in Buffalo, New York, before moving to Cleveland, Ohio, Hall was from a musical family, his mother played the piano, his grandfather violin, and his uncle guitar

I know this is an old thread, but worth extending I think. Jim Hall is a player who didn't jump out at me initially. But I've come to really like his playing and absolutely love his tone. The albums I have: Across the City, Undercurrent, Power of Three, Trio: The Complete Jazz Guitar, Alone Together, Concierto, Live!, and Interplay. It was first time I've heard jazz version of this famous classic tune then. I loved it much, bought vinyl record, wrote some dedication and gifted my future wife.

Sheet Music and Tabs for Jim Hall. James Stanley Hall (December 4, 1930 – December 10, 2013) was an American jazz guitarist, composer and arranger. Born in Buffalo, New York, before moving to Cleveland, Ohio, Hall was from a musical family, his mother played the piano, his grandfather violin, and his uncle guitar. He began playing the guitar at age ten when his mother gave him an instrument as a Christmas present. As a teenager in Cleveland, he performed professionally, and also took up the double bass.

JIM HALL - Live At Town Hall Vol 1 - CD - Mint Condition. The reissue nearly doubles the length of the album, including three alternate takes and two outtakes - like the swing-ish 'Rock Skippin' or the snippet of 'Unfinished Business' which features acoustic guitar.

Dinner Ambiance Relaxation Romantic Evening. Paul Desmond, Jim Hall Quartet. Complete Recordings of the Paul Desmond Quartet with Jim Hall. Hall's "All Across the City" and Wright's "Rude Old Ma. There are no disappointing tracks within this collection, and the only minor flaw was the accidental omission of one track previously issued (and subsequently reissued) by RCA. If you haven't already acquired this now rare set, prepare to pay a fortune, but it is a very sound investment, which will likely provoke squabbles among any of any heirs who are jazz collectors.
