Natesan Ramani (15 October 1934 – 9 October 2015), commonly known as N. Ramani or N. Flute Ramani, was an Indian Carnatic flautist. He was awarded the Madras Music Academy's Sangeetha Kalanidhi in 1996. Ramani was born in Tiruvarur, a city in Tamil Nadu which is honoured by its association with the Trinity of Carnatic music. The Magic Flute (Die Zauberflöte, K. 620) is an opera in two acts by Mozart to a German libretto by Emanuel Schikaneder. The work is a Singspiel, a popular form that included both singing and spoken dialogue. The work premiered in 1791, and it marked the culmination of a period of involvement by Mozart with Schikaneder's theatrical troupe. He had previously contributed to their work in the ten Der Stein der Weisen (The Philosopher's Stone).
