Produced by Switchfoot, Jacquire King & Charlie Peacock. Album Learning to Breathe. Learning to Breathe Lyrics. That I'm learning to breathe I'm learning to crawl I'm finding that you and you alone can break my fall I'm living again Awake and alive I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies

Learning to Breathe, Switchfoot's third album, continues the band's welcome lack of religious didacticism, instead expressing its spiritual concerns in more universal terms. Don't think that Switchfoot ought to be more dogmatic to avoid compromising their beliefs, though; every song here is firmly rooted in Christian faith and philosophy, as well as (musically speaking) mainstream post-grunge alternative rock.

Switchfoot - Learning to Breathe Released on September 26, 2000 on Sparrow Records. 4, 5. Switchfoot was: Jon Foreman - Vocals/Guitar Tim Foreman - Bass/ Backing Vocals Chad Butler - Drums. Learning to Breathe’ felt like we were beginning to hit our stride as a band. Two albums and five years of touring had matured us as a band. This was the most prepared we had ever been before entering the studio. While indeed being a fan of Switchfoot, I honestly couldn't find a song on this album that didn't have some redeeming quality. Not all of the tracks were spectacular, and some not even great.

With Switchfoot's new album, Learning to Breathe, their third recording effort, they've proven they can grow and mature with each project. Last year's New Way to Be Human was a step up in musical maturity for the band from their wonderful debut, The Legend of Chin in 1997. So where is Learning to Breathe's musical growth at? The band has stretched their melodic rock to be more powerful, emotional, and more melodic.

Talk about Switchfoot - Learning To Breathe

Snowskin
Am disappointed in the quality of the cover and general laziness of this release. SMLXL have had to opportunity to re-release some classic albums (Switchfoot, Jars of Clay, Five Iron Frenzy, Relient K's self-titled debut) but their releases are frequently vanilla and don't do the classic albums justice. Cheap paper inner sleeves, thin covers etc. but this is the worst so far for quality - the image on the back is so pixellated that someone in quality control MUST have noticed and just ignored it. They are privileged to be handling albums that are often appearing for the first ever time on vinyl - they need to take more care.
