Bish Bosch is the fourteenth and final studio album by American singer Scott Walker. At seventy-three minutes, Bish Bosch is Walker's longest studio album, and contains his longest song, the twenty-one minute, forty-one second "SDSS1416+13B (Zercon, A Flagpole Sitter)".

Bish Bosch is the latest in Scott’s discography to pursue the line of enquiry he began back in 1978, with his four devastatingly original songs on the Walker Brothers’ swansong, Nite Flights, and continuing through Climate of Hunter (1984), Tilt (1995), The Drift (2006). He has continued to mature and develop in a late style utterly at odds with the music that made him a superstar, a lifetime ago, but which is totally honest, uncompromising and transcendent. It’s about refusing the assured standing ovations of the ‘retread your classic album’ scene, and striking out into consistently difficult terrain.

Perhaps Bish Bosch's two immediate predecessors will have sated the 69-year-old singer-songwriter's desire to make complex, baffling, avant-garde music, and this new venture will be a return to the lush balladry of his first four solo albums: this, according to Walker, was the logic upon which the major label that put out his 1995 album Tilt operated . And this is one of the more approachable moments on Bish Bosch. For the most part, it really sounds like nothing other than the last two Scott Walker albums.

Bish Bosch ‎(CD, Album). Bish Bosch ‎(CD, Album). Well, it's not an easy album! He didn't make easy albums in his later phase. But what he did make was something very interesting if you are bored of hearing the same chord sequences and ideas regurgitated. It is not easy listening and you are challenged, but it can be very rewarding to enter Scott's world. Responder Notifique-me Helpful. 25 de janeiro de 2013.

Bish Bosch is, according to Scott Walker, the final recording in the trilogy that began with 1995’s Tilt and continued in 2006’s The Drift. Its title combines urban slang for the word "bitch" and the last name of Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch. Like its predecessors, Bish Bosch is not an easy listen initially. It's utterly strange, yet alluring. Musically, Walker is as rangy and cagey as ever

Scott Walker's third album in the last 17 years features drums and guitars and other passing references to rock music, but its deepest roots are in the dissonant, turn-of-the century compositions by Stravinsky, Schoenberg, Webern, and Berg. Like Walker's last two albums- 1995's Tilt and 2006's The Drift- Bish Bosch is austere, high-minded music about a dirty world where people always seem to be getting castrated or mutilated by something or another. It features drums and guitars and other passing references to rock music, but its deepest roots are in the dissonant, turn-of-the century compositions by Stravinsky, Schoenberg, Webern, and Berg- music that divided its early audiences between applause, hissing, and laughter.

Bish Bosch is Scott Walker's first studio album since 2006's The Drift. Scott began writing new material around 2009 - whilst also scoring the ROH 2's Duet For One Voice ballet - recording it sporadically over the following three years. The end result is Bish Bosch, a tauter but more colourful experience than The Drift, with greater emphasis on processed, abrasive guitars, digital keyboards and thick silences. For the cover art, Scott worked closely with painter Ben Farquharson and designer Philip Laslett.

In an essay written to accompany the release of Scott Walker's new album Bish Bosch, Rob Young claims the former Walker Brother has, over the course of a sequence of records beginning with 1984's Climate of Hunter, developed "a late style utterly at odds with the music that made him a superstar". One can see why many – even those as clued-up as Young – might feel this to be true.

Scott Walker – Bish Bosch. on November 30, 2012, 8:00am. One can lose themselves in this album, and early on, too, trembling under the furious assault of dystopian instrumentation. It’s fair to parallel Walker with Bosch because the two are so intricate in detail and grand in scope. Is this a surprise? Since the ’60s, he’s refused to settle, always finding ways to innovate himself. What started as velvet baroque pop on his 1967 debut solo album, Scott, has slowly evolved into specially curated experimental art rock, where a 20-plus-minute production about Attila the Hun’s Moorish jester sounds perfectly reasonable
