Dance-punk (also known as disco-punk or funk-punk) is a music genre that emerged in the late 1970s, and is closely associated with the post-punk and new wave movements. The band Anti-Venöm took the task of covering “Hate Yer State,” but instead of going the folk-punk direction like the rest of the songs, they managed to morph the song into this electro-hardcore punk hybrid. I avoid it at all costs. But this song gets a pass even for me.

Really talented group of musicians, I loved to hear their take on classic punk rock! The guitar player shreds like a recarnation of Yngwie Malmsteen but doesn't over do it and the bass player reminds. A great band to see live! They are having fun playing and are easy going people to talk to. Lots of crowd interaction!
