Forever Autumn is the fourth studio album by the Swedish doom/gothic metal band Lake of Tears. The album is dedicated to the memory of Juha Saarinen, who died four years prior to the album's release. Crown of Autumn is one of my absolute favourites of old. I first stumbled across The Treasures Arcane back at the time when I was first trying my wings on band such as Immortal, Summoning, Mortiis and Bal-Sagoth. Back then I quickly fell for the grandiose fantasy inspired lyrics as well as the mixture of catchy melodies and darker undertones. The variation of the album is one of its strongest parts. From the bombastic and quite heavy opening of Towers Of Doleful Triumph spawns a softer more moody song that lingers on and transfers into the baleful and sinister Nocturnal Gold Pt I: In Ageless Slumber.
