He released the first MAJESTIC album "Descension" in 2007. He followed this up with "String Theory" in 2008, bringing in a guest vocalist on one track and a guest flautist on another. At the beginning of 2009, he released a compilation CD, "Majestic Sampler 09", which included tracks from the first two CDs as well as unreleased songs. In 2008, Hamel began performing with vocalist and lyricist Jessica Rasche, who had been singing since the age of nine. The two released the album "Arrival" in 2009. The second album of Majestic aka Jeff Hamel was released in 2008, just a few months after ''Descension''. The material of this work was again written a few years back, but -unlike Majestic's debut- this one was released on Andromeda Recordings, following a commitment of the artist to the label.

Majestic is the eighth full-length studio album from the German power metal band Gamma Ray, released in 2005. Guitarist Henjo Ritcher was injured during the Majestic tour from falling down a flight of stairs on a ferry between Sweden and Finland. He was forced to sit out on half the tour due to his injury.

Majestic, formerly known as Lab Rat, was a neo-classical power metal band, founded in 1997 by Peter Espinoza after he was asked to form a band. Richard Andersson was asked to join and they started to write music for the debut album. Tunes like Golden sea and Standing alone were meant to be on Peters second solo album but were rearranged for the sound and the keyboard and together the Majestic sound was born
