Gris-Gris is the debut album by Dr. John (Mac Rebennack). Produced by Harold Battiste, it was released on Atco Records in 1968. The musical style of Gris-Gris is a hybrid of New Orleans rhythm and blues and psychedelic rock. Despite the New Orleans style, it was recorded in California, albeit with several native New Orleans musicians. Gris-Gris failed to chart in the United Kingdom and the United States.

We are proud to receive the most recent work by Madrid Duo Hashigakari formed by David Area and Tomás Gris. Both of them have spent the last year working together on sound from an improvisational perspective. After a few releases in its own label Ex-Nihilio they where approached by the Audiotalaia team to develop an album for our digital catalogue. Eleven Koans presents itself as a series of small improvised pieces inspired by several lines of thought from Buddhist inspiration.

Endlessness is the long-awaited and last instalment of a trilogy of pieces for electric organ by artist Alfredo Costa Monteiro. A follow-up to Umbralia (Triple Bath, 2011) and Insula (Entracte, 2014), this third piece is composed by two parts, essentially austere in approach but extremely rich in tonal range, with a strong mesmerizing atmosphere. Through the circularity of their forms, it explores the idea that persistence of time is our measure of infinitude.
