Peanut Butter is the second album by Welsh noise-pop band Joanna Gruesome, released in the spring of 2015. In general, critics praised Peanut Butter as musically tighter, more self-aware, and more stylistically developed than their previous album, Weird Sister.

Butter is the first studio album by Scottish electronic musician Hudson Mohawke. In 2009, Hudson Mohawke signed to Warp Records, despite a very limited track record of official releases; in fact, the bulk of his releases were unofficial tracks and DJ mixes circulated on the Internet.

The Peanut Butter Conspiracy was a psychedelic folk rock band from Los Angeles in the 1960s. Several members had comprised the earlier band The Ashes, but with the addition of vocalist Barbara "Sandi" Robison, changed their name and adopted a somewhat cleaner, more sophisticated sound, rather like Jefferson Airplane crossed with Mamas & the papas. The band recorded three albums and a handful of demos before splitting up in 1969.

What fans hear in Peanut Butter Jelly is a happy house tune rooted firmly in the spectacular violins seen in the age of disco. We also get those warped, yet oddly infectious vocals singing about making sandwiches in a feel-good way that makes listeners feel just that. The drop consists of plenty of instrumental chopping that is executed in such a way that it leaves me at a loss for words. I have a feeling that the upcoming album will sound more in tune with Runaway (U & I) and Gold Dust than this song here, but I also feel Pharmacy will have a few surprises like Peanut Butter Jelly that will do more good than harm in the long run.
