Despite the lineup, prog metal fans are in for a shock: Besides guitar riffs crunchier than on your average pop album, this music has little to do with King's X. Instead, think of the lighter side of Spock's Beard (or Neal Morse's first solo effort). It's a great mix of underdogs on the Jughead CD. It is fun and poppy with a definite edge. The only downside of this cd is knowing that any of these musicians could absolutely take over a song and blow your mind with a solo, fill or riff.
