The Strokes - Room On Fire flac album

Room on Fire is the second studio album by American rock band the Strokes, released on October 28, 2003 by RCA Records. The album features the return of producer Gordon Raphael from Is This It and consists of a slightly smoother sound than its predecessor; . the bass guitar is less present except for several select moments when it becomes the focal point of the song. Its title is drawn from a lyric in "Reptilia": "The room is on fire as she's fixing her hair.

Grammy-winning producer Nigel Godrich was initially in charge of production, but The Strokes felt he made the songs seem "soulless". The band went back to work with Is This It producer Gordon Raphael. The album features a slightly smoother sound than its predecessor.

Room On Fire' isn't a bad album,but at the same time it's not great. It's just basicaly 'Is This It' watered down. Opening track 'What ever happened' is a brilliant introduction. But the finest moment on the album (in my opinon) is the frantic and Punky 'The Way It Is. leedling with attitude and style,it rolls along unstoppable with it's pounding Drum and razor sharp Guitars.
