If You Can't Stand the Heat. is the eleventh studio album by English rock band Status Quo. Recorded at Wisseloord Studios, Hilversum, Holland, and produced by Pip Williams, it was released in October 1978 and reached in the UK album chart. The sleeve notes that Aphex Aural Exciter was used in the recording process, thus contributing to a more atmospheric sound than its predecessor, "Rockin' All Over The World"

Hand Cut is the third studio album by the British pop group Bucks Fizz. It was released on 1 March 1983 and features the UK top 20 hits, "If You Can't Stand the Heat" and "Run for Your Life". Hand Cut continued the group's success, which had been building for two years since their Eurovision win. The first single from the album was "If You Can't Stand the Heat" in November 1982, which became their fourth consecutive top ten hit in the UK charts.

The album was released in November 1988 on the Stylus record label - which had licensed the tracks from Bucks Fizz's record companies, RCA and Polydor Other tracks were the bulk of the group's hit singles and two album tracks. One notable omission however was "When We Were Young" - one of the group's biggest hits. The same magazine had also claimed current single "Heart of Stone" to be a contender for the Christmas.
