Lyrics to "Wreck On The Highway" song by Bruce Springsteen: Last night I was out driving Coming home at the end of the working day I was riding alone through. Last night I was out driving Coming home at the end of the working day I was riding alone through the drizzling rain On a deserted stretch of a county two-lane When I came upon a wreck on the highway. There was blood and glass all over And there was nobody there but me As the rain tumbled down hard and cold I seen a young man lying by the side of the road He cried Mister, won't you help me please. An ambulance finally came and took him to Riverside I watched as they drove him away And I thought of a girlfriend or a young wife And a state trooper knocking in the middle of the night To say.

I Am the Highway Lyrics. Pearls and swine Bereft of me Long and weary My road has been I was lost in the cities Alone in the hills No sorrow or pity For leaving, I feel, yeah

The Wreck of the Old 97 was an American rail disaster involving the Southern Railway mail train, officially known as the Fast Mail, while en route from Monroe, Virginia, to Spencer, North Carolina, on September 27, 1903. Due to excessive speed in an attempt to maintain schedule, the train derailed at the Stillhouse Trestle near Danville, Virginia, where it careened off the side of the bridge, killing eleven on-board personnel and injuring seven others.

George) Who did you say it was brother Who was it fell by the way When whiskey and blood ran together Did you hear anyone pray? (Gene) When I heard the crash on the highway I knew what it was from the start I went to the scene of destruction And the picture was stamped on my heart. Both) I didn't hear nobody pray dear brother I didn't hear nobody pray I've heard the crash on the highway But I didn't hear nobody pray. Gene) There was whiskey and blood all together Mixed with glass where they lay Death played her hand in destruction But I didn't hear nobody pray

Essential Country - Hank Locklin.

I Am the Highway (оригинал Audioslave). No sorrow or pity for leaving, I feel, yeah. I am not your rolling wheels – I am the highway. I am not your carpet ride – I am the sky. Friends and liars don't wait for me, Друзья и обманщики, не ждите меня, 'Cause I'll get on all by myself. I put millions of miles under my heels

I figured this one out the other day. I'll try to get the solo and tab in later. I am the highway Audioslave. Intro: Am.
