Rubby Haddock is one of the greatest exponents of good Latin music. His orchestra is known as one of the best and most danceable "Big Bands" on the island. He is called "El Maestro" by his followers and fellow artists. For his long career, exposed to the world of entertainment, Rubby became one of the most knowledgeable artists in the history of Latin music. Born in Manhattan, New York, on February 6, of Puerto Rican parents.

Rubby Haddock's third concept album focuses on society and its aches and pains, all set around the story of one of Puerto Rico's most notorious fugitives, the late Toño Bicicleta. This LP (still obscure in many markets) was one of the most popular in the band's 22-year history, and, although the effort is rather rough as opposed to latter works, it is still poignant in terms of lyrical content - one area that the band rarely touched afterwards.
