Esprit D'Air ("Spirit of Air" in French) is a Japanese rock and metal band based in London. In 2013, the band increased in popularity as their single 'Shizuku' became the first playable song in the 'J-Rock' category in the video game Rock Band 3. Reformed in 2016, their award-winning debut album Constellations was released in 2017. The band met at a concert in London and made their debut in May 2010.

London based space metal trio Esprit D'Air have reformed as of 2016, releasing a new single "Rebirth" and album "Constellations". The band is now comprised of Kai (vocals/guitar), Ellis (bass), and Daishi (drums). Kai: Originally, we were a four-piece with the current line-up plus a lead vocalist.

Rebirth is the long-awaited new single by Esprit D'Air. Disbanded in 2013, Esprit D'Air returned in 2016 with Kai (guitarist) now on lead vocals. Well, now Esprit D’Air have returned with comeback album Constellations, and you can hear the whole thing exclusively on TeamRock. The London-based J-Rockers, who have been on hiatus for the last three years, aim to combine dark and heavy riffs with uplifting lyrical themes to provide a glimpse of optimism in increasingly uncertain times. We catch up with the band below to get the skinny on the new album and find out what they have lined up for next. It reflects my personal story of the reformation of Esprit D’Air, and the strong feelings I have of performing music again after many struggles.
