The complete original albums 'Sarah Vaughan' and 'In The Land Of H-Fi', pairing the singer with brilliant soloists like Clifford Brown and Cannonball Adderley. Both albums have the same rhythm section and were arranged by Ernie Wilkens and are considered among Sarah's finest efforts ever. The 1st is backed up by a small combo featuring the great saxophinist Clifford Brown. 2nd backet by a somewhat larger group led by Cannonball Adderly. This is pure jazz singing, not the pop stuff she did later and NO STRINGS!
