In any case the mood, soundscapes and imagery created by the music is fantastic, I think he is one of the most talented ambient composers out there. At times the music invokes wondrous and adventurous images, at other times something dark and mysterious. Earth Star' is a tempered and balanced work. the signs of an experienced musician. If I had to compare this music to something it would have to be early Tangerine Dream and Michael Stearns albums, like 'Alpha.

Live on Earth is the first live CD and DVD by Arjen Anthony Lucassen progressive metal project/supergroup Star One. It features songs from their debut album Space Metal, but also numerous songs from Lucassen's other project Ayreon. The album was recorded live on 5 October 2002 at Lucky & Co in Rijssen, Netherlands by Andreas Grotenhoff (audial mobile-Recording studio, Germany) and is the first live album Lucassen had ever recorded. Russell Allen (Symphony X), Damian Wilson (ex-Threshold), and Robert Soeterboek (Ayreon) form a powerful front line of singers. They are backed by two female vocalists and when the six of them (Lucassen sings too) sing in harmony, as in "Songs of the Ocean" or "The Eye of Ra," they give you goosebumps.
