It is certainly nice to have a variety of techniques and gear being used to produce an album. Although it’s hard to tell the difference from one track to the next, a lot of variety presents itself throughout. There are some truly interesting moments where almost everything disappears leaving one pedal to perform solo or one frequency to take over

Although it’s hard to tell the difference from one track to the next, a lot of variety presents itself throughout.There are some truly interesting moments where almost everything disappears leaving one pedal to perform solo or one frequency to take over. This is particularly noticeable on the last track, “Cryptitis Rush Hours” that proceeds along it’s violent path much slower than the earlier tracks carefully demonstrating everything in Antihuman’s chest of tricks. The rest of the tracks are quick and aggressive. “External Hemorrhoid” certainly has it’s one-pedal-at-a-time moments but it goes quick and full-thrust.Annular Cancer is an interesting listen for sure. The breadth of possibilities in Antihuman’s gear is tremendous and certainly gets used well here. (feedbackzine.ca)
