We Want A Rock 1. They Might Be Giants (usually reduce TMBG) - American alternative rock band that began as a duo John Flensbёrga and John Linnell, and now also includes Marty Beller, Dan Miller and Danny Vaynkaufa. Formed in 1982, the group primarily known for her unconventional style of experimental and alternative music. The group gained notoriety on the modern rock charts and CMJ, a children's musical genres and musical themes for several television programs and films.

In early 1992, They Might Be Giants released Apollo 18. The heavy space theme coincided with TMBG being named Musical Ambassadors for International Space Year. Singles from the album included "The Statue Got Me High", "I Palindrome I", and "The Guitar (The Lion Sleeps Tonight)".

FLOOD, the third album from the duo known as They Might Be Giants hit the stores and a subsequent wave followed. TMBG signed on with a major record company (Elektra) to produce this album. Songs started getting major airplay, and not from just college stations.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of 'Flood,' TMBG and Yahoo Music are premiering a free download of the full album, recorded live in Australia. And they did it totally analog-style. Starting in mid-’80s, John Linnell and John Flansburgh began recording their songs on an answering machine, advertising the phone number in New York papers as Dial-a-Song.

Every page goes through several hundred of perfecting techniques; in live mode. Over the next two decades, They Might Be Giants released studio albums on a near-biennial fashion and currently have a total of seventeen studio albums along with six live albums, eight compilation albums, twenty-one extended plays and eleven singles. 4 EPs. 5 Videography.
