The Hole is the eighteenth studio album by the Dutch hard rock band Golden Earring, released in 1986. The band gave a free promotion concert in support of the album on the beach of Scheveningen for an audience of 185,000. Anton Corbijn made a video clip for the single "Quiet Eyes". It was made in the same black and white style as the photographs he made for the inner sleeve of the album. All songs written by Barry Hay and George Kooymans except where noted.

In physics, chemistry, and electronic engineering, an electron hole (often simply called a hole) is the lack of an electron at a position where one could exist in an atom or atomic lattice. Since in a normal atom or crystal lattice the negative charge of the electrons is balanced by the positive charge of the atomic nuclei, the absence of an electron leaves a net positive charge at the hole's location.

The Electronic Hole is band by Phil Pearlman. He assembled The Electronic Hole in 1969 strictly for personal use - to audition musicians for his new band. One of first thing you'll notice about this album is that it has strange fuzz and noisy power combined with psychedelic riffing complexity. Second thing may be that it only has 2 song titles - "The Golden Hour" and "Love Will Find A Way" - divided in many parts.
