Siegel continues to perform with his own version of The Tokens as well, featuring bass singer Bill Reid and, more recently, John "Jay" Traynor, the original lead singer (before Jay Black) of Jay & the Americans and the Mystics. On this disc, (aka "Los Tokens con Mitch Margo-Esta Noche, el Leon Baila"), the Tokens go Latin all the way, including reversible-booklet cover artwork to make the album bilingually friendly in any kind of record-shop setting, and the results are one of the coolest, most original and downright listenable discs that's come down the pike this year

Mitch Margo: In Memoriam. When he first joined The Tokens Mitch Margo was only fourteen, but what he, his brother Phil Margo, and bandmates Jay Siegel and Hank Medress recorded that year would become the musical through-line of their lives. It’s a fine legacy, but at two minutes and forty-two seconds it is an incomplete one - especially with regard to Mitch, who died on November 24th of this year at the age of 70. I initially discovered Mitch’s other music circuitously, but I’ve since had the pleasure of looking backward and forward through the career of this largely unsung songwriter

Mr. Margo helped write a number of songs for the group (although not its biggest hit, The Lion Sleeps Tonight ). he later wrote music for television.

About Only In My Dreams. There is a woman who experiences some sort of difficulty of sleep (probably some sort of mental illness like depression, anxiety, dissociation, regrets, etc. because of the use of ‘demons’). The person she is romantically involved with is the only person she is able to talk to about this because they’re the only one who make the said ‘demons’ go away. However, the partner brushes it off as dreams and that she will be okay if she just rests. This is all just from my own personal perspective.
