Visage were a British synthpop band, formed in London in 1978. In the UK, the band achieved two Top 20 albums (Visage and The Anvil) and five Top 30 singles before the commercial failure of their third album (Beat Boy) led to their break-up in 1985.

Visage (Visage album). Studio album by Visage. Visage is the eponymous debut studio album by the British new wave band Visage.

That's fitting, because Visage's frontman, Steve Strange, was the colorfully painted face of the movement, just as this album was its sound. Warming up Kraftwerk's icy Teutonic electronics with a Bowie-esque flair for fashion, Strange and the new romantics created a clubland oasis far removed from the drabness of England's early-'80s reality - and the brutality of the punk response to it.

In 2013 the fourth Visage album "Hearts and Knives" was released. The title was not only a paraphrased lyric from the lead single "Shameless Fashion" but also a metaphor for the past 29 years of Steve Strange and Visage. The first song to be written for the album was co-written with former Visage and Magazine keyboard player Dave Formula. Diaries Of A Madman". Mick MacNeil the creative musical core of Simple Minds contributed to two songs, "She's Electric (Coming Around)" and the radio friendly "Dreamer I Know" (which was also co-written.
