Talk about The Analog Roland Orchestra - 1984 & 1997

I love the tracks, but this was far too expensive for a 7". For the same price, I could have bought a 12" import. 7"s are okay for punk music, wherein the quality of playback doesn't depend so heavily on deep grooves and space for bass. But for electronic /dance music...?Fuck 7"s.And fuck 10"s too. There, I said it.Besides, these are records. We TOUCH them. Give us the most space possible to manipulate the plate, guys. These 7" /10" /colored novelty releases...It's getting annoying. A similar thing happened with comic books (limited edition alternate covers) and then baseball cards (expensive premium sets). Records are so expensive now anyway. Let's get back to basics, yes???Labels: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE press your beautiful music on BLACK (not colored!) 12" vinyl.12" BLACK VINYL WINS ALWAYS.Period.

Well said! I sign on this!

OK music, but a disappointing release for the Ornaments label. The B side is much better then the A side. This release word have worked better as a 12'' with 4 songs.
Bynelad
Totally! Sometimes I can deal with 10', but yea why not just press it on a 12'. You get better fidelity with more recording space.

Adam I agree with this. I was very interested in buying this, but what's with the 7 inch format? You get shallow grooves and as a DJ its awkward to manipulate. Labels need to stop fucking with 7's and 10's and just do 12's. Especially because the prices for 7's are somehow higher? Why would anyone want that??

I really like your Dimension Part 1 and 2 on Pastamusik. They are fantastic. Those two reales are deep, and show great skills. I simply do not feel your release on Ornaments fits their style and it was a short release (plus it cost $14.00 here in the States). Thats a heavy financial investment. An entire LP of this style of your music would work much better.

Well I understand your point ov view. Its a 7 inch not for the club...play it in your flat, in your lounge or living room...try it there...it should work :)
