It takes a brave band to attempt a concept album based on animal rights and veganism. Exist explores the meat trade, animal testing and humanity’s apathy towards it all. Opening track Subjects is a 22-minute odyssey through the psyche of an animal born into captivity.

OHHMS return with their second album Exist, coming a cool two years ahead of schedule. This is one of the last things you’ll hear in the closing moments of the colossal opening track Subject of the new OHHMS record, Exist. The emotion poured out by Paul Waller in that final refrain is tangible, and it helps make the moment the stand out segment on what is, by and large, a huge step forward for a band that had already set up shop firmly outside the box.
