In 1975 the band was founded by cousins Marco Antonio Solís and Joel Solís. Their first song was Falso Amor ("False love") and its style became popular in all of Latin America. Marco Antonio wrote the songs; the album "Me Volvi A Acordar De Ti" in the year of 1986 sold one million records in just a few weeks after its launch earning the album "diamond" status.

Me Volvi a Acordar de Ti is the tenth studio album released by Los Bukis in October 1986. The album sold over one million copies earning it the Diamond disc status. The album entered Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart at the beginning of October 1987, and peaked at number 6 on October 31 after spending four weeks on the chart. All songs written and composed by Marco Antonio Solís.
