The Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg is an Austrian orchestra, based in the town and state of Salzburg. The orchestra gives concerts in several Salzburg venues, including the Großes Festspielhaus, the Great Hall of the Stiftung Mozarteum. In addition to symphony orchestra concerts, the orchestra serves as accompanying ensemble for operas and musical theatre performances at the Salzburg State Theater.

Lorenz Fehenberger August 24 1912 July 29 1984 was a German operatic tenor particularly associated with the German and Italian repertories Marianne . Lorenz fehenberger annelies kupper das s sse lied verhallt lohengrin. Fehenberger was born in Oberweidach, Upper Bavaria, and began singing as a boy in a church choir, later studying voice with Elisabeth Wolff in Munich. He made his stage debut in Graz, as the Italian singer in Der Rosenkavalier, in 1939. He sang regularly at the Salzburg Festival between 1949 and 1962, where he created the role of Haemon in Carl Orff's Antigone. He also sang at the Vienna State Opera (1951–52). He made guest appearances in Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, also appearing at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires (1951), and the Royal Opera House in London (1953).

The Mozarteum Orchestra is Salzburg’s symphony, festival and operatic orchestra, and can be enjoyed live at their Sunday Matinees as well as Thursday. The Mozarteum Orchestra hosts two concert series of its own: the Sunday Matinees and the Thursday Concerts. The orchestra is also booked annually during the Festival for the Mozart Matinees as well as operatic productions. It is likewise an active force during Mozart Week, while also giving performances at the Landestheater in Salzburg. Their full schedule also includes guest appearances and tours, taking them from Vienna to Tokyo. Opening Young Ears to Classical Music. The Mozarteum Orchestra is also dedicated to opening the ears of the general public to the joys of music.
