Black and Blue is the 13th British and 15th American studio album by the band the Rolling Stones, released in 1976. This album was the first recorded after former guitarist Mick Taylor had quit in December 1974. As he had done the last time the Stones were between second guitarists in 1968, Keith Richards recorded the bulk of the guitar parts himself, though the album recording sessions also served as an audition for Taylor's replacement.

Black and Blue would top the charts in the United States (for four weeks, eventually being certified platinum), as well as in France (where it would be certified gold). The Stones' thirteenth (British) studio album, Black and Blue is the first recorded without former guitarist Mick Taylor.

In a way, Black and Blue is an admirable album just for its refusal to bow to the past. A few songs here try to sound like Brown Sugar and Tumbling Dice and those few aren’t the best ones. Still, the Stones have problems. Too much of Black and Blue picks up the trail of Fingerprint File.

Black and Blue is an upcoming American thriller film directed by Deon Taylor, from a screenplay by Peter A. Dowling. It is scheduled to be released on October 25, 2019 by Screen Gems. Naomie Harris as Alicia West.
