Tweez is the debut studio album by American rock band Slint. It was originally released on the label Jennifer Hartman Records in 1989 as the only record put out by the label, which was run by their friend and namesake, Jennifer Hartman. It is also the only Slint album to feature bassist Ethan Buckler. The album was reissued by Touch and Go Records in 1993 after the group's follow-up, Spiderland, began to generate a cult following.

Looking Back At Kanye West’s Gold Digger. About Tweez 1 contributor. While Louisville quartet Slint are best known for their 1991 album Spiderland, which drastically influenced the landscape of post-rock and alternative music, their 1989 debut record Tweez unfortunately doesn’t receive the same amount of attention. The album’s is a loud, disorganized affair, dabbling more in riffage and noise-rock that the band’s later output.

Tweez is one of those albums that nobody mentions yet the band that released it is famous for releasing a classic album. While I admit that Spiderland is a much more consistent and well composed then Tweez that doesn’t mean that this is not an album worth your money. Slint created something new when they released Tweez and you can’t really put it under any genre of music. It blends together punk, indie, math-rock, and even some minor post-rock elements make their way into the music.

Tweez is the debut studio album by American rock band Slint. It was released on the group's self-owned label Jennifer Hartman Records in 1989. Tweez was recorded at Studiomedia in Evanston, Illinois, and was produced by Steve Albini.

Mine looks like this but no barcode... not sure what pressing is, i guess from 1993.

A slightly remastered reissue of their best record. Very harsh sound. If you like the tracks itself, that's fine, they are pushed forward incredibly. If you are more into their late 80s grungy sound, you will not really like this.
