Tommy McCook - Scatterlight Rock One of the rarest, and greatest, horn instrumental dub albums of the seventies featuring the soaring saxophone of Tommy McCook in combination with Glen Brown, ‘The Rhythm Master’, is finally given a legitimate release. The original title for this long playing release was initially advertised on the label of the seven inch release of ‘Determination Skank’ as ‘The Sannic Sounds Tommy McCook’, however the album was released in Kingston in 1974 in very limited quantities on a white label in a plain recycled cover rubber-stamped ‘Tommy McCook Dub’. It gave music lovers a fascinating opportunity to compare and contrast the work of Tommy McCook, one of the architects and builders of the Jamaican sound, with Glen Brown’s role in taking and breaking it into pieces.

The Melodians, Winston Wright with Tommy McCook and The Supersonics - Everybody Bawling, Kilowatt on Treasure Isle Mega classic tune from a stellar vocal trio that would reach an international audience with their contributions to the groundbreaking The Harder They Come soundtrack. Interestingly, the deejay version of this song featuring the great U Roy might be more well known than this original vocal take. This LP, "One Life To Live", stands as the only album ever released under her name except for a few other compilations. There's almost a dozen different versions of this LP, but other than an expanded CD version, they all maintain the same tracklist. Carry Go Bring Come by Justin Hinds and The Dominoes With Tommy McCook and The SuperSonics!
