Four Ugly Fuckers ‎(CD, Comp). The Throwaways formed in Florence, Alabama (USA) in January 1997. Never a full-time band, we performed intermittently until September 2006. The only record we released under our name was a 45, "Aneurysm EP" (High Society International Records, 1999), though we also appeared on the "Fuck Your Scene, Vol. 2" compilation (Retro Virus Records, 2010) several years after permanently disbanding.

As close as we ever got to a full-length release. (It's inelegant of me to keep reviewing my own band, I know...but who else is going to offer commentary at this late date?) This contains our two best songs, 'The Perfect Hell' and 'End Up Dead', and for that reason alone I would recommend it to anybody who's interested in the Throwaways. Some of the other material I'd prefer to forget, but overall this disc *is* an accurate representation of the sets we used to play. The title, incidentally, comes from the little promo flyer that accompanied our 45 ("Aneurysm EP") when it was released in 1999. Thorsten at HSI Records had asked me to come up with some text for the flyer, and I wrote something very extemporaneous and flippant--not realizing that this was exactly what he wanted. He used it word for word, in fact. After a paragraph or so in which I described our sound, the flyer concluded: "The Throwaways are real. They are desperate. They are four ugly fuckers who don't give a shit about you." Years later, when we were putting this comp together, "Four Ugly Fuckers" just seemed like such an appropriate title.
