This anthology offers a very complete cross-section of Schenker 's most important work, both with British rockers UFO and in his uneven solo career. Experts are bound to disagree over the inclusion or exclusion of certain tracks, but essential material like "Love to Love," "Rock Bottom," "Doctor Doctor," and "Armed and Ready" makes this a pretty comprehensive introduction to this hugely influential guitarist's legacy.

In preparation for seeing Michael Schenker Group in concert, I tracked down this 2 disc anthology of his work with UFO and his early MSG work. It is a great collection! The hits, "Doctor, Doctor," "Armed And Ready," and "Cry For The Nations" are there, and at 28 tracks total, this collection includes some deeper cuts as well. The problem is that it leaves off 7 or 8 classic tunes from each band. You would be better of getting the incredible "Michael Schenker Story Live" album if you want a complete compilation of all his best loved songs performed by his best lineup (sorry Cozy). Or, if you want the original versions, get the "Essential UFO" and "Essential MSG" respectively.

this was a great msg/ufo anthology two lp set released in japan back in 1983, this came with a bunch of really nice silver stickers you still commonly see to this day almost 35 years later, they must have pressed about a million of these in japan back in 1983 as it is still not hard at all to find a complete copy w/ stickers & all inserts......
