It was released by EMI and charted at number 38 on the UK Albums Chart

The album featured the massive hits Here I Go Again (’87) and Is This Love? which propelled the album to sales of eight million in the US alone. As fans will known the track listings were different in the America and the UK for the original release. This reissue adhere’s to neither but is the same tracks and sequence.

Like Def Leppard did with Hysteria, Whitesnake has done the same with ’87. They have packed it full of songs and collectibles that are a must for the real fans

No mention was made of that decision in Coverdale's Rhino press release, in which the label promised "great releases" planned out of the Whitesnake archives in "the coming years
