Live at the Royal Albert Hall is a live album by The Cinematic Orchestra, released in the UK on 14 April 2008 on Ninja Tune Records. The original concert was performed on 2 November 2007 at The Royal Albert Hall in London. All That You Give" (originally on Every Day). Child Song" (originally on Ma Fleur). Flite" (originally on Every Day). Familiar Ground" (featuring Heidi Vogel) (originally on Ma Fleur). To Build A Home" (featuring Grey Reverend) (originally on Ma Fleur).
The Royal Albert Hall is the kind of venue where history is made. The Beatles and the Rollings Stones played a double bill here, legendary performances have been given from Pink Floyd to Frank Sinatra, Led Zep to Bob Dylan. Or Muhammed Ali in the ring. Now think of a band who live to perform live. Beyond Jason Swinscoe's scintillating recordings the Cinematic Orchestra's ability to reinvent their material in the live arena has always made them stand out from their peers.
With over 40 musicians onstage at times, Swinscoe and his colleagues used the show as a unique opportunity to open out his chamber pieces into intense, beautiful and exquisitely realised epics which left the huge audience baying for more. Santana and . oster published by Light. Last spring saw the release of latest album 'Ma Fleur' and 2007 saw the band's most intense touring schedule to date. More and more requests for live recordings and more and more sell out shows. So when it came to the end of the year and a return to the city from where the band was first realised, the question was "Where?
For TCO founder Jason Swinscoe, the strong history of the Royal Albert Hall was the perfect jump off point to showcase his creativity and talents. A special commemorative CD has been released which includes a special poster dedicated to the event. With previous talents such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Frank Sinatra, the Dalai Lama and others, The Cinematic Orchestra joined an elite group for an unforgettable performance. For TCO founder Jason Swinscoe, the strong history of the Royal Albert Hall was the perfect jump off point to showcase his creativity and talents.
